Of course I would put in a bar, dining room table, a ball dance floor with great music band (like Dancing with the Stars), a larger playroom for kids with mini pool, toys, candyland, swing, sandbox, basketball goal, workout gym room, with a running field, mini golf, tennis, spa and massage room, kids’ merry-go-around carousel, small petting zoo, McDonalds, tacobell, pizza hut, marie callendar and cheesecake factory, red lobster restaurants, also fancy restaurant. And also, wheel of fortune and price is right, along with casino and bingo game night, Learn how to cook from a chef kitchen, movie theatre….

But most cruise ships are very boring… they have bar over here, bar over there, large casino taking up most room, small dull playroom for kids, dining tables here and there, chairs everywhere, just for people to sit all day and chat, small room for few arcades and pinball machines. more bar room with karoke, and stage with dancers and shows… that is it. and oh small spa and swimming pool and more swimming pool,…. yawn.

I wrote his poem after visiting Chirk Castle near my home; that was once own by the Middletons are quotation marks needed here, and does it work as a poem

Below the Castle Gate

Below was wild rushing about; above a world full of love poured out,
but here on earth I find myself acquainted with a stray cat.
Behind me now perhaps, are the iron bars that once held me fast.
I was not one for swearing an oath eager and waiting.
The door ajar let in light, all inside was aglow.
My heart was entirely aflame:
Adventuring inside saw silver serving plates
long tables opulently spread with dainties;
with white table clothes yet noble and without fuss.

Looking across was a woman all dressed in white
oh well she said and left the room through the door at the other end of the room.
It was an old fashion dining room;
grand and spectacular with a very high ceiling,
one of many rooms in this magnificent castle.

A short time passed then she returned,
said sorry, I was not ignoring you.
Then smiled, it’s just that we are very busy today,
can I pour you a cup of tea.

Yes, please do.
This place well, how should one describe it.
Like a dream but it was not surreal.
It was eternal,
that which you had as a child
before being corrupted by the knowledge of death
and the question of where did we come from.

Beyond any possibility or likely hood of holding back my tongue,
I asked, is this your home?
To this she smiled again politely,
or for want of a more fitting word adoringly.

An elderly man was wheeled in backwards,
sitting in his wheel chair by two relatives or friends or carers.
He was wearing his slippers.
Good morning major, smiled the woman in white.
Good morning Elizabeth returned the other jollily,
knowing her voice before being turned to face her.

A little boy barged in
followed by two little girls
he brandished a wooden sword before the major,
Look what mummy has bought me grand papa.
All three children were dressed in Victorian costumes.
They had become once again fashionable.
All looked like characters out of Dickens novels.
Both girls had a bat each but had lost their ball,
and had been weeping, their eyes were red.
So their mama who followed shortly behind them
gave them a skipping rope to play with.

Now altogether, she said, leave grand papa alone
and take your place at the table.
At once they obeyed and went to sit at the table in the middle.
I want a baked potato, said the little boy.
And we do, said the two girls in unison.
The castle was a happy place
yet it has not always been so;
every room still has its haunts.

I’m 15 years old. I’m home schooled (Virtual school) and I spend a lot of time in my bedroom. I live with my grandparents. I’ve lived with them since the beginning of March. I’ve always been allowed to eat/drink in my bedroom until about 2 weeks ago I woke up with signs all over my room dating "NO EATING OR DRINKING IN THE BEDROOMS" I have carpet in my room but it’s not thick at all. If something got on it, it would be easy to clean up. They have let me eat in my bedroom until now. They just took that privilege away for absolutely no reason. We have a bar(or island) to eat at and a dining room table. But yet they eat every single meal or snack in the living room on food trays and they put the dog’s food on the BARE carpet for her to eat. My bedroom is closer to the bar and table than their recliners are to it. They have a big shag carpet it’s thick and stuff gets stuck to it. Walking on it feels like you’re walking through glass. I ask her why I’m not allowed to eat in there anymore and she says "cause the bedroom isn’t a place to eat" but they eat in the living room every single day. The living room is where my grandpa sleeps, eats, and watches tv. Its basically his bedroom. They don’t sleep together. Why is she being like this towards me? I have never spilled one single thing in my room. Yet they spill things all the time. I’m allowed to eat in the bedroom but I have to watch what they are watching on tv (yay.. Westerns) and they are rude to me and dont let me enjoy my food. I open a drink and have to get up and walk to the kitchen, take a sip, and walk back in my bedroom to keep doing whatever I’m doing at the time. It’s so annoying!
I meant *grass* not glass.
I also meant I’m allowed to eat in the LIVING room not bedroom.
Don’t give me the whole "they are adults" crap. They tell me I’m old enough to take care of myself and stuff and my mom pays her for my groceries n bills n stuff and she let me this whole time until now! It’s "my" house too when I’m having to clean and vacuum the living room I’m never even in but it’s "their" house not mine when they want to be the bosses.
you all are so ignorant. They are retired. I do my own laundry, my own dishes, clean my room and clean up after myself, my mom pays for my keep here, she does NOTHING for me! Just controls me. I clean up after THEIR messes. They are bitter people. I lived here before and used to stay here all the time. She’s my grandmother not a new friend. We are already used to each other. I do for myself other than my mom paying for me and as soon as I get 16 (when I can legally have a job) I will pay for myself. This isn’t the only crisis I have. I have two parents that don’t want me, brothers I never see, I’ve went to 5 different schools and I’ve lived in 7 towns and I’m only 15. My grandma has 4 closets, 6+ dressers, tons of storage containers, and a portable rack full of just HER clothes. And she’s yellin at me cause I don’t have anywhere to put my clothes so they have to be on top of dressers n stuff where "people" can see. Funny seeing as how nobody comes in my bedroom except people that would

My original idea was to have like a buffet sort of meal with lots of food but i live in a small flat with my mum with no garden and no dining table just a breakfast bar, so that wouldnt work i’m trying to keep the cost down and like I said the weather will be rubbish so any ideas?

Hello. I am reaching out for help because I am so frustrated with everyone and do not know what to do. I am 18 years old. My parents have been married for 19 years. I think my mother has stayed for so long because she had a child. My father is very lazy, controlling, and verbally & physically abusive. He leaves a mess everywhere he goes. He leaves the wet bathmat on the floor rather than hanging it up, leaves empty food containers laying out instead of throwing them away, does not clean up spills, and rarely does any home improvement. Our bathroom has been "under construction" for about 7 years now with missing floor and wall tiles after replacing the bathtub, which he did not caulk immediately and then eventually caulked over mold, so all the crevices are filled with black mold. Him and my mother work full time jobs, but he comes home and acts like he works the hardest. My mom makes more than twice as much money as him, but he "has" to come home and drink beer while my mom does all the cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, and bills. Everyday he either goes to the bar or drinks beer in the garage out of his keggerator. He usually gets bombed, and he has urinated on the living room furniture and in the bed many times because he was too drunk to wake up and go to the bathroom. One time he mistook our home office for the bathroom and urinated on the paper shredder, and another time he did the same thing on a chair in my bedroom. Sometimes he will hurt my mom by slapping her or throwing things at her. If I am home I will call the police, but they always say that they can not arrest him because my mom doesn’t have any bruises or marks. When I do call the police, he gets mad and says that I should not. Even other family members have said that it is wrong for me to call 911 on him. He used to hit me too, but he knows that he can not do that anymore because I am 18 now and will call the cops and try to get him arrested. He makes his own cigarettes, and he insists on permanently keeping his cigarette machine on the kitchen counter. Tobacco gets everywhere, and it would actually be more convenient to keep it out in the garage because he does not smoke in the house anymore (we had a kitchen fire a few months ago and the house was just painted). My mother and I are too embarrassed to have guests come over, but dad doesn’t care. He would rather us not have anyone over, but he constantly has his friends over drinking beer in our garage. Our basement is filled with all of his junk, such as tools he never uses, stuff that he has found while digging through dumpsters and on the curb waiting for trash pickup. He uses our dining room (we eat in the kitchen, so there is no table in there) as his dressing room, leaving his clothes and shoes on the floor. All of our wall decorations are stuff that he put up, and he does not care if everyone else thinks it belongs in the trash. He acts like the house belongs to him, and we just have the pleasure of living there; in reality, both his and my mother’s name is on the deed. Mom has to pay most of the bills because dad does not make that much money. He will not get a second job because it would interfere with his beer drinking time. I would love to move out, but that would mean quitting college to be able to afford rent/food/etc. I really do not want to put my education off, and I may never be able to go back if I have to continue working full time to keep up with expenses. My mother makes enough to move out, but she keeps giving me excuses. First she was waiting for me to graduate high school. Then she was waiting for the tax return. Now she wants to get a second job first, even though she has been looking for months and cannot find the type of job she wants. Is there anything out there to help us?? Is there anything I can do to make her realize that she does not have to stay in such a terrible environment, especially since she makes enough money to move out. I am at the end of my rope. Living in such turmoil definitely effects my mental health and my relationships with others. I do have a therapist, but she just tells me that I can not control other people’s lives and that I have to make the best of my situation if I don’t want to quit school.
My mom has not had sex with my dad in years, don’t be a jerk. I do have a job, but I spend my earnings on school and gas. Not going to school is really not an option when you’re trying to get into medical school.

I go to community college, so there are no dorms. I tried getting into a university for this upcoming school year, but I was not accepted because I had less than 30 credits and they based their decision off my high school grades. I am working with the school’s admissions department and taking classes that will transfer to there so hopefully I will be accepted next year and can live in their dorms.

I’m looking for a counter-high table for my apartment (for my kitchen-living room). I’d like to put the table behind the sink/stove so that I can use it as a worktable, or kitchen island, as well (and for dining, of course). I found a nice table in IKEA (i.e., utby bar table, http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S49843462). This table is a nice-fit in terms of both style and price, but I’m wondering where else I can find similar or other types of modern bar tables that can be used as a worktable. Do you have any recommendations?? Thank you for your help!!
Thanks for your info!!!
